Gabby’s Trackmate Loses Her Cool

August 21, 2025 | Edition #215

👋 Hey, Speedster!

Before we begin today, let’s take a moment to honor Usain Bolt. The Jamaican great turns 39 today, and we're celebrating it by bringing you a few facts that you may not definitely don’t know about him! Oh, and we also have updates on an Olympic medalist’s tiff with the press, Junelle Bromfield’s ‘problem’, and more.

Let’s get started…

Gabby Thomas’s Training Partner Lashes Out at Media
Thomas’s trackmate is more than frustrated after being shamed at the Diamond League. And she's now taken it out at the journalists.

While it poured heavily in Lausanne yesterday, the showers couldn't dampen Oblique Seville' feisty form. For the second time this year, he left Noah Lyles chasing in a 100m. Watch how the Jamaican cut through the rain and made a 9.87s run look like child's play...

Noah Lyles vs Oblique Seville

Did You Know

Did you know? Oblique Seville began his sprinting journey just as Usain Bolt was retiring. Standing at only 5’6”, he contrasts sharply with Bolt’s towering 6’5” frame and rivals like Kishane Thompson at 6'1. Yet, his flawless execution sets him apart. At just 16 years old, Seville clocked 10.77 seconds at the Kingston Grace Puma Youngster meet, later improving to 10.57 before turning 17. And well, despite him not having the physical built as other sprinters, his rapid rise has drawn praise from Justin Gatlin and coach Rodney Green, who celebrate him as the “smallest, fastest sprinter in history."

As you read above, Gabby’s partner, Brittany Brown, vented publicly about her interaction with the media. So tell us…

Do You Think Brown's Heated Reaction Was Justified?
