Noah Lyles missed part of the 2025 track season because of injury, but the Olympic champion is determined to make the most of the year ahead. He has already appeared in several clips showing him going through intense training sessions. Now, in the latest training video, Lyles is seen running an event he hasn’t contested in eight years, and the last time he did, it was indoors. So, now tell us,

Remember the “stare-down” trend in track racing? Last year, Sha’Carri Richardson locked eyes with an opponent as she crossed just before the finish line in the women’s 4×100m relay final at the Paris Olympics. And more recently, at the USATF Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Noah Lyles looked at Kenny Bednarek during their 200 m race. While perhaps less common now, the tradition isn’t over: just the other day, USC athlete Ethan Exilhomme gave a playful side-eye to a teammate during a practice session, a reminder that even friendly rivalry can carry high intensity.
