Yesterday afternoon, Joe Kovacs stepped in for what might be his last big throw of this outdoor season—the Zurich Diamond League final. The field was stacked, with Olympic medalist Rajindra Campbell among the challengers. But Kovacs wasn’t fazed. He unleashed a monster 22.46m—nearly half a meter beyond Payton Otterdahl’s 22.07m—to clinch his fourth Diamond League title.
