History was made in Tokyo on Day 2! Jimmy Gressier stunned the men’s 10,000m field, winning the World Championships gold in 28:55.77 to become the first-ever Frenchman to claim this title. In another shocker, no Kenyan or Ethiopian made the podium, something almost unheard of in this event lately. Also, with Grant Fisher finishing 8th, Team USA’s medal hopes also faded…


The weather in Tokyo today was no joke! 81% humidity and 29°C heat, but fans said it felt more like 41°C. Cloudy, sticky, and uncomfortably warm, the stands were full of people fanning themselves just to cope.
