You probably know about Michael Phelps being outspoken about the cracks he sees in USA Swimming and calling for reform after watching American swimmers struggle on the sport’s biggest stages. Now, at last, it appears that his concerns are being heard.

Matthew Boling recently took on a kind of responsibility on the track for his social media followers. The former world champion set out to teach a few lessons about block starts. He got into position and went through the motions just like a sprinter. But the outcome turned out to be something completely different. In the end, it became a very unconventional teaching moment.
