Did You Know

Did you know? Gout Gout has had a strange run of wind woes this season. When he clocked a sub-20s time (19.84s) at the Australian Championships in April, the wind was illegal. Three days before that, he'd dipped under 10s twice in the 100m, but again the wind was over the limit. That's not it. Back in March, his 19.98s at the Queensland Champs was rendered unofficial thanks to a +3.6m wind, too. And now, just as he finally breaks the 10s barrier by running 9.94s at the school carnival, the record was hand-timed (that usually has some margin of error). But the only silver lining? His latest run is believed to have been in a legal headwind, proving that he's on the path to break the 10s barrier very soon!
