👋 Hey, Speedster!

It’s been anything but quiet in the track world since yesterday. A fiery newspaper column about a current track star has sparked immense chaos. So much so that her coach had to step in. But away from the drama, the Brussels Diamond League brought plenty of action on the track too.

So let’s dive in…

At the Brussels Diamond League, everything seemed routine until the women’s 1500m race hit the 700m mark. That's when the two runners, Sinclaire Johnson and Freweyni Hailu, tangled and went crashing down in a brutal fall. Johnson eventually walked away with four stitches on her thigh. Did You Know

Since we are talking about the Brussels Diamond League, did you know that Sha’Carri Richardson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce hadn’t raced each other in the 100m for 732 days? The last time was the World Championships final in Budapest on August 21, 2023, where Sha’Carri beat her by 0.12s. But yesterday, on August 22, 2025, just a day after the anniversary of their Budapest clash, they met again after two years. Yet, the results were the same. Sha’Carri won once more, this time by 0.09s. That gives her a 6–3 head-to-head lead against Shelly-Ann, who ended up missing the podium entirely!
