While Mathieu van der Poel won, a World Cup leader suffered a brutal crash!
Yes, Laurens Sweeck did not have the best day, chasing from the back throughout the first laps of the race. Eventually, he went down and news soon confirmed that he had a crash that severely dislocated his shoulder. This also ends his season prematurely as he wont be able to continue anymore.
